The University of Luxembourg will implement a blended teaching and learning approach for the winter semester 2020/2021.

As a guiding principle, the University will differentiate between larger and smaller classes As a rule of thumb, lectures involving larger groups of students will be provided in virtual and remote formats, whilst small group teaching will be held on campus, in face-to-face mode. Details remain to be fleshed out and will be communicated as soon as possible.

At the same time however, it is very important for the University to properly welcome its new first-year students and launch them into their new academic environment. Since this is hard to achieve in remote settings, the University will strive to provide a number of in-person classes for first-year bachelors. The University will also continue to provide its high quality psychological support services; and collaborative learning spaces will be made available within the limits of the current health and safety regulations.

The University of Luxembourg strives to achieve the right balance between providing a deeply enriching experience of studies at a university campus and keeping the university community as safe as possible in the context of the pandemic.
