About usThe Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE) is one of the three faculties of the University of Luxembourg. A small Faculty with a personal touch 464 staff members and 2,200 students from all over the world work and study on Belval Campus. Students benefit from small class sizes and many courses are taught as seminars which provides them with the opportunities for discussion and helps them to get the most out of their learning experience. Multilingual teaching Our international teaching staff is one of our key assets. Most of our degrees are taught in English and/or French and/or German. Some Master degrees are fully taught in English. Alongside pure language skills, our students also gain insights into different academic cultures. The reward is a multilingual degree that provides them with clear advantages on the job market. An international atmosphere Our students and researchers come from all over the world. Student mobility and cultural openness are encouraged and promoted at the University of Luxembourg. All our under-graduates have to spend at least one semester abroad at one of our partner universities in Europe, North America or Asia. Our study programmes We offer Bachelor and Master programmes, vocational training and lifelong learning opportunities in social and educational sciences, language and literature, psychology, philosophy, history, geography and political science. Our doctoral schools are committed to educate future scholars in educational sciences, social sciences and humanities. Research Our main research areas include education and social work, behavioural and cognitive sciences, humanities, social sciences, geography and spatial planning. |
