Medialux: Research project about media in Luxembourg

The Medialux project stems from the research agreement concluded between the University of Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Ministry of State’s Department of Media, Connectivity and Digital Policy, represented by Xavier Bettel, Prime Minister and Minister for Communications and Media. This project aims to produce and diffuse quantitative and qualitative information on the Luxembourg media environment and its evolution in order to maintain and develop a diverse and sustainable media landscape in Luxembourg. Objectives defined by the agreementThe goals of the project are threefold:
Through these commitments, Medialux will contribute to develop the diffusion of knowledge with regard to the media and professional journalism in a societal context marked by the phenomena of disinformation and misinformation. Finally, the Medialux project aims to deepen the questions related to the legal, political, ethical and sociological effects of digitalisation of information through the Participatory Democracy Platform (PLDP) and the future Luxembourg Centre for Digital Ethics (LCDE).
