Master en Enseignement SecondaireThe Master en enseignement secondaire prepares students to become highly qualified teaching professional in the Luxembourg school system. A tailor-made teacher training programmeThe Master en enseignement secondaire offers four tracks: The programme is specially designed for students who already hold a Bachelor’s degree in German Studies, Romance Studies or Mathematics. To be eligible for the Luxembourgish Studies track, a Bachelor's degree in philology or cultural studies is expected. Students are enabled to deepen their knowledge in the respective fields and develop the skills needed for teaching in classroom settings. Acquire solid theoretical, practical and educational knowledgeIn addition to courses in the core subject areas, the curriculum includes classes in educational sciences, educational sociology and psychology to provide students with the necessary skills to understand and face the challenges of teaching and learning a multicultural and multilingual school system. They are jointly organised with other Master’s programmes of the Faculty of Language and Literature, Humanities, Arts and Education (FLSHASE) and the Faculty of Science, Technology and Communication (FSTC):
Career opportunitiesStudents will be prepared for a career in teaching in the secondary school in Luxembourg. Graduates may also apply for a PhD programme and enrol in a doctoral school of the University of Luxembourg. |
