Yves Kreis is a Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Teaching & Learning of the Department of Education and Social Work of the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences of the University of Luxembourg. He has a PhD in educational sciences (Dr. paed.) from the University of Education Ludwigsburg (Germany).
He studied mathematics and computer science ("Diplôme en Mathématiques") at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), where he worked as an undergraduate assistant for three years. Before joining the University, he worked for several years as a teacher in various Luxembourgish Primary Schools and as a mathematics teacher in several Luxembourgish Secondary Schools.

- Educational technology in (primary) mathematics education
- Mathematics teacher training and teacher professionalisation
- STEAM in primary, secondary, and tertiary education
