Contemplating a medical career requires an early immersion, to navigate numerous challenges ranging from admission processes to rigorous scientific background requirements.

To inspire future medical students and tickle their motivation, the University of Luxembourg’s Bachelor of Medicine team gives high school students a unique opportunity to explore the prospect of studying medicine at the University of Luxembourg and encourage them to study medicine. On Friday 13 May, the BMED team organises visits of the campus’ medical units, holds presentations and hosts encounters with BMED team members, all tailored for Luxembourgish high school students. The operation is organised jointly with the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth of Luxembourg.

Two introductory tours will be given on 13 May for high school (lycée) third- and second-year students. The tours will include presentations of the medical study programme, introducing the students to the medical profession, visits of medical facilities such as the simulation unit, and informal exchanges with teachers, heads of departments and students.

Two sessions are offered for the students:

  • 9.00-11.00: morning session
  • 14.00-16.00: afternoon session

The tours will start from the University Belval Campus Maison du Savoir (MSA) ground floor entrance (near the auditoires).
