On the occasion of the Festival "Les maths dans tous leurs états" and to celebrate the Pi days, the University organised on 14 March 2021 the online interactive quiz "Astigmath: le quiz qui corrige votre vision des mathématiques". Almost 60 participants and especially young people took part in this fifth edition which focused on the links between mathematics and culture.

The quiz was moderated by Hugo Parlier and Bruno Teheux from the Department of Mathematics at the University of Luxembourg and by Olga Paris-Romaskevich, CNRS researcher at the University Aix-Marseille. They presented the annual Festival Maths dans tous les états which celebrates mathematics internationally via different activities.

In this edition composed of 17 questions, participants learned more about the presence of mathematics in culture with different examples in the fields of architecture, sculpture, cinema, painting, theatre, literature.

The feedback was very positive and a new edition is already planned in May 2021.
