University professor to co-lead the MeluXina supercomputer

Prof. Pascal Bouvry, expert in computer science and high-performance computing (HPC), and Roger Lampach, CEO of LuxConnect, have been appointed CEO of Luxprovide S.A, the company that manages the implementation of the high-performance computer MeluXina in Luxembourg.

The complementary CEO tandem will ensure the installation of MeluXina within LuxConnect's DC2 data center in Bissen. Roger Lampach will supervise the industrial and project management components, while Pascal Bouvry will ensure the scientific supervision of the implementation of the HPC, while retaining his function as professor at the University of Luxembourg. The Meluxina supercomputer is a key element in the digital strategy of the Luxembourg economy, and will offer high-level services to research institutes and companies.
