Dean

The Dean works to promote the interests of the Faculty and is responsible for ensuring it is well-managed. He acts as a link between the Rectorate and his Faculty. He chairs the Faculty council and various committees such as the one responsible for recruiting academic staff and the one responsible for issuing authorisations to supervise research. He represents the Faculty on the University council.

Georg Mein is Professor in Modern German Literature and joined the University of Luxembourg in March 2006. He has been appointed dean of the Faculty in February 2013.
