Hamed RAHIMI NOHOOJI received his PhD degree from the Curtin University (Australia), in ‎‎2018.‎ He was a research fellow at the National University of Singapore (NUS), and Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium). He was also a visiting research scholar at the University of Birmingham, UK. His main research interests include developing control systems with applications in robotics. Hamed joined the Automation & Robotics Research group headed by Prof. Holger Voos.

His contributions can be assessed by his publications with over 800 citations and an H-index of 17 (Google Scholar, May 2022). He has authored or co-authored over 20 articles in prestigious international journals, such as Information sciences (IF 6.79), Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing (IF 6.82), Neurocomputing (IF 5.71), Journal of The Franklin Institute (IF 4.50), Applied Mathematical Modelling (IF 5.12), Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering (4.52), Asian Journal of Control (IF 3.45), Energies (IF 3.00), IEEE Access (IF 3.36), and Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics (IF 2.08). He has also authored four book chapters, three of which have been published by Springer. He has several conference papers, including the award nominee paper at the Australasian Conf on Robotics and Automation 2016, where He won a Student Travel Awards from the conference organisers.

He is a section topical advisory panel member for 'Sensors and Robotics' of Sensors (IF 3.576), and editing a topical collection entitled "Advances in Human-Robot Interaction: Sensing, Cognition, and Control", and a special issue on "Advances in Soft Robotics: Design, Sensing, and Control" for this journal. Also, He is a topical advisory panel member of Machines (IF 2.428). He was a leading guest editor for the International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems (IF 1.65) for a special collection on "Barrier Lyapunov Functions in Constrained Control of Robotic Systems". He is also an invited editorial board member for the International J of Engineering and Technology. He is an active reviewer for several prestigious journals, including IEEE T Industrial Electronics, IEEE T Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE T Cybernetics, IEEE T Systems, Man and Cybernetics, IEEE Access, Journal of The Franklin Institute, Neurocomputing, Control Engineering Practice, Nonlinear Dynamics, Robotics and Autonomous Systems and Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics. He regularly serves as a reviewer for numerous international conferences every year.
