LISER PhD Workshop (25 September 2015) The first LISER/DSEF joint PhD workshop was held at LISER on 25 September 2015. The PhD workshop gathered presentations from PhD students from both entities in a one-day event. The workshop was organised with the help of active PhD candidates in both institutions in the framework of a partnership between the University of Luxembourg and LISER. This event was the first of its kind, offering PhD candidates the opportunity to present their work to their peers, as well as a handful of professors and researchers who joined the sessions. |

Pierre Werner PhD Workshop "European Financial Crisis: Background and Perspectives" (8-9 October, 2014) The Doctoral School in Economics and Finance and the Doctoral School of Law of University of Luxembourg’s Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance jointly organised a workshop for doctoral students in law, economics and finance, working on topics related to the European financial crisis. The workshop was organised with the kind support of the ‘Fondation Pierre Werner’, Luxembourg. It aimed at supporting and increasing interactions between PhD students in Luxembourg and at other universities. PhD students had the opportunity to present their work to colleagues and professors and to receive feedback on their work from senior researchers. |

Poster Session (16 October, 2013) On 16th October, 2013 DSEF doctoral students invited to the Poster Session that featured their recent work. Students presented their current research (or proposals) on posters of their own design. |

Potluck Dinner (18 June, 2013) DSEF students and senior staff met to socialize and had a picnic together. Everyone brought his or her own dish to share with others. |

PhD Workshop (18-19 April, 2013) PhD Workshop was jointly organized by the University of Luxembourg, the University of Liège and the Maastricht University. The event aimed at supporting and increasing interaction between PhD students and senior staff from the three Universities. Students presented their recent work and received comments from senior researchers. |

Rafting (25 September, 2012) DSEF students were canoeing and rafting in the river Sûre about 50km north-east from Luxembourg city. The route went from Dillingerbrück to Echternach. It was a good 2 hour exercise in a nice company. |

Jamboree (23 May, 2012) Jamboree took place in Amphitheatre Tavenas (Limpertsberg). The event aimed at fostering interaction among doctoral students in Economics and Finance. Doctoral students presented their recent work and received comments from their fellow colleagues. |
