Interdisciplinary Space Master

Graduates from this programme will be able to use their skills in:

  • Systems engineering, technology development and application, and in the engineering of space systems;
  • Space mission analysis, spacecraft design and data processing;
  • Big data analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence;
  • Software and/or hardware programming tools (robotics, STK, etc.);
  • Identify space application systems and understand the corresponding observation methods;
  • Translate scientific space objectives into mission requirements and advise system engineers;
  • Process, analyse, and interpret space derived data (sometimes big data) using machine learning and artificial intelligence for a variety of space applications;
  • Design observation and navigation systems developed for a particular purpose;
  • Advise on quality control and reliability of space data.

Graduates from this programme will also be able to apply their understanding of:

  • Space project management;
  • Entrepreneurship;
  • Space policy, ethics, and laws
  • Legal aspects of creating intellectual property;
  • Finance and managing innovation;

in order to:

  • Pitch ideas to potential investors;
  • Write a business plan;
  • Strategize a venture growth development;
  • Build a financial model and discover the key financial information;
  • Assess the commercial viability of space technologies, space business opportunities and existing space companies; and
  • Plan, organise, and execute a project or new venture with the goal of bringing new products and services to the market.
