Times Higher Education: Uni.lu among the top 300 universities

The University of Luxembourg ranks among the 251-300 best universities in the new World University Ranking 2022 published today by Times Higher Education. The University is thus positioned among the top 18% of universities evaluated by Times Higher Education (THE).

The world ranking of universities is based on scores assigned in five categories: Teaching, Research, Citations, Industry income, International outlook. The University improves its score in the Research category (39.2 – the highest value ever reached by the University), as well as in the category of Industry Income (47.3 – also the highest score ever achieved by the University). And with a score of 99.5 in the International Outlook category, the University of Luxembourg consolidates its place among the world leaders.

In the category Teaching, the University score changes from 35.7 to 33, and in Citations its score moves from 73.2 to 65.7.

In the ranking of the previous year (World University Ranking 2021), the University of Luxembourg was positioned among the top 201-250 universities. The number of universities included in the World University Ranking 2022 has increased by 135 to a total of 1,662 institutions, resulting in an increasingly fierce competition for the best places each year.

University scores are expressed in comparison with the highest ranked University in the year under review. The data underlying the ranking refers to the years 2018 and 2019.
