U-Multirank, the EU Commission’s university benchmarking tool, has published its results for 2020, confirming the University of Luxembourg’s good performance in earlier years.

U-Multirank compares the performances of higher education institutions in teaching and learning, research, knowledge transfer, international orientation and regional engagement. The 2020 ranking is based on data from 2018 and covers over 1700 universities from 96 countries around the world.

The University of Luxembourg continues to perform very well in the category “Research” compared to the 2019 ranking. It receives excellent results (“very good”) in the sub-categories: research publications, external research income, citation rate, top cited publication and post-doctoral positions.

The University also shows a consistently very high rating for “International Orientation”, receiving excellent scores in this category for the last three consecutive years. International orientation considers the sub-categories: foreign language Bachelor programmes, foreign language Master programmes, student mobility, international academic staff, international doctorate degrees, and international joint publications.
