This year, the University of Luxembourg organises its first Study Abroad Day for all students who are planning to do their exchange semester during the academic year 2020-2021. Attend our info sessions, discover the Study Abroad Fair and our partner universities worldwide and meet international exchange students on 6 November 2019 from 14:00.from 14:00 to 17:30 on the 1st floor of the Maison du SavoirAttending our Study Abroad Fair is a must! This is your opportunity to find out about some of our partner institutions, speak to returners and incoming exchange students from around the world. We will also be running a series of info sessions and workshops throughout the fair:All you need to know about your semester abroad 14.00 - 15.00 Session in French 15.15 - 16.15 Session in German 16.30 - 17.30 Session in English Your exchange semester beyond the borders of Europe Global Exchange Programme allows you to do your exchange semester at one of our partner universities outside Europe, i.e. in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Israel, Hong-Kong, Japan, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the United States and many others. During the info session, you will learn everything you need to know about the programme and its application procedure, you will also have the chance to hear a testimonial from one of former participants in the Global Exchange Programme. 15.15 - 16.15 Session 1, in English 16.30 - 17.30 Session 2, in English

14.00 - 15.00 - Language skills and Intercultural competence: the keys to a successful exchange semester This workshop will give you an overview of the online course “Préparation linguistique et culturelle à la mobilité” (Linguistic and cultural training for mobility) offered by the Language Centres of the University of the Greater Region to help you get ready for a university mobility in a French or German speaking university. |

15.15 - 16.45 – Intercultural skills training and recognition of (your) European cross-border skills Studying, working and living abroad is an enriching experience which involves the acquisition of intercultural skills. This workshop will draw your attention to the importance of intercultural skills and provide you with useful and practical tips for preparing and reflecting on your experiences abroad. You can also learn more about how to ensure recognition of your acquired intercultural skills with the ECBS certificate. |

17.00 - 17.30 - University of the Greater Region Workshop Before or after your semester(s) abroad, you can take advantage of the geographical proximity of our partner universities in the surrounding regions. UniGR student status allows UL students to attend courses and take exams at UniGR partner universities (max. 10 ECTS/ semester). |
