 The UNESCO Chair in Human Rights aims to:

• Increase the public’s awareness of problems regarding human rights and cultivate the relationship with civil society by acting as a think tank on defending and promoting human rights
• Sensitize civil society, students, researchers and other interested public on issues related to respect for human dignity through contacts, conferences, news releases
• Establish and develop partnerships with organisations representing civil society
