Afonso Delerue Arriaga

Afonso DELERUE ARRIAGA received his PhD degree from the University of Luxembourg, in 2017. Since 2018, he managed the PKI for Luxembourg ID cards, passports, residence permits and digital covid certificates, and worked on ICAO standards for globally interoperable electronic travel documents, and on the specifications of the EU Digital Covid Certificate. His research interests are on the transition to quantum-safe cryptographic algorithms and their applications to the security of electronic passports. Afonso joined the Applied Security and Information Assurance research group, APSIA, headed by Prof. Peter Y. A. Ryan.
