Master in Learning and Communication in Multilingual and Multicultural Contexts
Teaching Languages: English, French and German - some courses are multilingual
Goals
Our Master in “Learning and Communication in Multilingual and Multicultural Contexts” focuses on the study of multilingualism and multiculturalism and how these connect with issues of mobility, migration and social diversity - aspects increasingly shaping our lives and the societies we live in. We are particularly interested in phenomena of linguistic and cultural diversity and the ways these play out in the areas of education, professional and workplace communication, and in the media. Valuing the multilingualism and varied backgrounds of our Master students, we consider our courses and seminars a living laboratory and a space in which theories and concepts around multilingual communication and learning are being discovered, discussed and negotiated on a daily basis. We share a philosophy that considers multilingualism and cultural diversity important building blocks in the co-creation of knowledge sustaining peaceful living and togetherness in today’s societies.
