Understanding biological systems mechanistically as we understand physical systems has become an emerging field of research around the globe. Despite the identification of some biological principles, a firm biological theory is lacking, and completely new quantitative and conceptual tools are need to be developed.
The goal of this meeting is to bring together researchers in Luxembourg which want to drive progress in this direction in order to join forces within a Physics meets Biology initiative in Luxembourg. Leading international researchers will deliver keynote lectures to hare their vision on this exiting emerging field.
