Disease Maps Community

The Disease Maps Project is designed as a large-scale community effort. It is a network of groups that work together in order to better understand disease mechanisms. It bring together researchers from different research field e.g., mathematicians, computer scientists, biologist, clinicians to discuss on the usage molecular disease maps in research, drug development and clinics and.

To reach that regular meeting of the disease maps community were performed exchange best practices, share information, develop tools to make it easier for all the involved groups to achieve their goals

2nd Disease Maps Community Meeting hosted by LCSB

On October 2nd and 3rd the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine hosted the 2nd Disease Maps Community Meeting. The meeting was organized together with our colleagues from the Computational Systems Biology of Cancer group, Institut Curie, Paris and the European Institute for Systems Biology and Medicine Lyon, France.

About 40 researchers from all over Europe (and Australia) came together to continue on the positive spirit of the first initial meeting in Lyon (Feb. 2017) and exchange experiences and discuss applications and further developments within the field of the disease maps.

Thanks to all who participated on the 2nd Disease Maps Community Meeting for very inspiring two days with great presentations and open and fruitful discussions. Looking forward to our next meeting in Paris.

PD map team from LCSB at the 1st Disease Maps consortium meeting in Lyon

On February 15th - 17th more than twenty researchers from different research field (mathematicians, computer scientists, biologist, clinicians) from across Europe met at the European Institute for Systems Biology and Medicine (EISBM) in Lyon, France to discuss on the usage molecular disease maps in research, drug development and clinics. An initiative was founded to exchange experiences, discuss on new developments and possible standardisation and to coordinate further activities.
