In this workshop, they are working specifically on tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum) and the Pepino Mosaic Virus that affects tomato crops.

Different topics are covered during the training:

– inoculation of plants to prevent infection by the viruses

– the human immune system

– agro-biological techniques to improve yields

As well as different laboratory techniques:

– ELISA (Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay)

– cloning procedures
