Discover cryptography from Caesar cipher up to the present day, learn how an encryption algorithm works and understand the underlying number theory.
Through presentations and practical exercises, the participants will tackle different mathematical concepts (Euclidean division and modular calculus, Fermat’s little theorem and Euler’s generalization, RSA scheme…), and discover concrete examples and games that can be used to teach those concepts to high-school students.
