English Studies

The Luxemburg Learning Center offers a selection of works and criticism by major English and American writers, especially authors currently taught or researched at the University, academic works on the English language, and a collection of general linguistics and literature, that can also be useful for English Studies. British Periodicals provides access to full-text periodicals published from the late 17th century to the beginning of the 20th century. The subjects covered are literature, philosophy, history, science, social sciences, music, art, theater, archeology and architecture.

The bibliographical database MLA (International Bibliography of the Modern Language Association of America) indexes books, articles and dissertations published on modern languages and literature.

Die Munzinger online Datenbank bietet Zugang zum Kindlers Literatur Lexikon online,sowie zum Kritischen Lexikon zur fremdsprachigen Gegenwartsliteratur : KLfG online, (beide auch auf Papier in der Bibliothek vorhanden),zwei Standardwerke zur zeitgenössischen Weltliteratur. In mehr als 750 Beiträgen werden Leben und Werk herausragender Schriftsteller vorgestellt, die die Literatur ihres Sprach- und Kulturraums prägen. The Taylor & Francis SSH collection is an online platform for journals, articles and reference works in English literature published by the Taylor & Francis Group.

Cambridge journals online offers full-text access to articles from journals published by the Cambridge University Press

BLLDB is the online version of the "Bibliography of Linguistic Literature". It is one of the major sources of information on the internet for general linguistics with all its neighbouring disciplines and subdomains as well as English, German and Romance linguistics.
