A new decade has just begun and we at the Luxembourg Learning Centre (LLC) are looking forward to further develop our services for you in 2020. Before moving forward let’s look back on what has been achieved in 2019, the first complete year of the LLC’s existence:

  • The opening hours were extended so that you can spend your Saturdays in the LLC.
  • Together with the Competence Center a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on “Academic & Information Skills” was produced.
  • The “Book Taxi” expanded its network of collection points to the Weicker Building
  • The “Book a Librarian” service has been institutionalised so that you can get an appointment with a librarian more easily to help you with your literature research.
  • A new Subject Guide on psychology was published.
  • More than 10,000 new books were acquired, processed and made accessible for you.

We are happy to have welcomed more than 270,000 visitors in 2019 (24% more than in 2018), of which more than 1,400 participated in a guided tour and almost 400 attended our training sessions. Being curious about what awaits us in 2020, we can promise already the continuation of our efforts to provide high quality, innovative services, and access to the most relevant scholarly and educational resources within a welcoming and comfortable environment. Happy new year!
