The LLC has subscriptions to several platforms that provide access to online press. They are accessible with a computer or Smartphone from any location.  At the LLC, you can consult the online press via the tablets available in the "The Lounge" area on the ground floor of the LLC.

To access them, go to www.a-z.lu and log in using your reader number written on the back of your card (K-xxxx) and your password.

 

Europresse

Gives you access to many French-language and international press titles.
Ex. of foreign press titles:

  • Searching by keyword allows you to find articles on a particular subject among the entire range of titles included in Europresse.
  • Advanced search allows you to refine your search by limiting it to a particular type of source or time period.
  • The PDF section offers you the possibility to browse the online version of some newspapers and magazines. The conservation of the archives varies from title to title.

Factiva

Is an international news database (by Dow Jones) that provides access to daily, national and regional newspapers such as :

  • Keyword search allows you to search across all titles or within a particular title. Other filters (date, subject...) are available to help you refine your query.

Financial Times

The leading British economic and financial daily paper. To access the Financial Times online (access restricted to members of the University):

    1. Visit the Financial Times website via the University’s network:

    2. Create an account using your university email address as login.

    3. Use the account you created to remotely access the Financial Times from your computer or smartphone.

PressReader

Offers more than 7,000 titles (from over 100 countries) accessible in over 60 languages covering topics such as business, travel, world news, lifestyle and entertainment. The archives are kept for a maximum of 90 days.

How to access PressReader from your smartphone or tablet?

  1. Access PressReader via your browser and authenticate yourself with your reader number (K-xxxx) and library password. Create a user account by clicking on "Sign in" in the top right corner of the page.
  2. Download the PressReader application, then log in with your PressReader user account (not your library card).
  3. After 7 days, go to www.a-z.lu, log in with your library credentials and search for PressReader. To access it, log in with your PressReader user account. The application will automatically renew your access for another 7 days.
