Sites

The rectorate, the administration, the faculties and the interdisciplinary centres of the University of Luxembourg are located on various sites which have their own history.

Belval Campus

The former Belval steel production site, shut down in 1997, is about to become a research hub. After the Luxembourg government decided back in December 2005 to settle the University of Luxembourg headquarters on the Belval site, rectorate, administration, centres and faculties are moving to the "Cité des Sciences".

Limpertsberg Campus

The “Rose Campus” of the University lies in a residential district of the capital which was famous for its rose-growing before it was developed. The historic “Bâtiment central” was built in 1903 on behalf of the Franciscan Order and was used as a college for Luxembourg’s Catholic priests from 1926 to 1972. Today, it and the neighbouring buildings house part of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance, as well as parts of the Faculty of Science, Technology and Communication.
