Majlinda Joxhe received her degree in “Economics and Institutions” (summa cum laude) from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 2008. She completed a Master of Science II level and a Ph.D. in International Economics University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.
She is a current Post-Doctoral Fellow in Economics at the University of Luxembourg. Prior joining the University of Luxembourg, she was working as Adjunct Lecturer at John Cabot (American University of Rome). Majlinda has worked also for two years as a Project Associate at IPA (Innovation for Poverty Action), a research based NGO in USA.  Majlinda is working on a broad range of research like Migration, Development, Behavior Economics and Gender Economics.
