Ioannis Asimakopoulos joined the DTU REMS as a PhD candidate under the supervision of Prof. Pierre-Henri Conac in January 2017. Prior to his arrival, Ioannis studied law in Greece (LL.B., 2014) and completed an MSc in International Economics and Finance at Athens University of Economics and Business as well as a Masters in Corporate Law (MCL) at Christ's College, University of Cambridge. He is a registered lawyer with the Athens Bar Association and has worked with the EU delegation in Geneva. Ioannis is a lecturer at the Cambridge Summer Institute, which operates under CBL International & Magdalene College, University of Cambridge. He is interested in the field of financial regulation, with a particular focus on bank resolution and investor protection.
