Dávid Szabó joined the Institute of Political Science as a Doctoral researcher in September 2022.
His PhD project investigates how the recent reform of the European Union’s farm subsidies programme, the Common Agricultural Policy, contributes to a low-carbon transition in the agri-food sector. His research focuses on the political dynamics that drive and hinder such a transition, the political feasibility and durability of the new policy architecture, and the transition pathways it laid out. His research is supervised by Prof. Anna-Lena Högenauer.
Before joining the University of Luxembourg, he worked in the Hungarian central state administration, where his field of work comprised anti-corruption policy and public administration development. David has obtained his Master’s degree in Political Science from the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest.
