“Portes Ouvertes Luxembourg”: Visit University Labs

The University of Luxembourg will participate in the 16th edition of the “Portes Ouvertes Luxembourg”. The University’s laboratories on Kirchberg and Limpertsberg campus sites will be open on 18 September 2022 from 10.00 to 18.00. All-day long, you will have the opportunity to explore scientific research, watch amazing experiences and impressive demos, exchange with top-level researchers and students. On Kirchberg Campus, you will be able to interact with drones, discover 3D printing, interact with robots, immerse yourself in virtual reality, “walk on the Moon” and explore the space labs. On Limpertsberg Campus, you will be able to explore the Physics and Engineering labs. Enjoy an unforgettable experience and become a researcher for a day! The Physics and Engineering LaboratoriesThe Physics labs are located at the University’s Limpertsberg Campus. A variety of fun and instructive workshops are planned. They range from building your own spectrometer and making solar cells to understanding how a laser works and seeing live phytoplankton – minuscule marine algae – under a microscope. On the engineering side, the Kirchberg Campus will host workshops that will take you right into the future, featuring sessions with robots, virtual reality and laser manufacturing, among others.
