Professional Summary

Jennifer joined the Computer-Based Assessment (CBA) research group within the Department of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences as a Research and Development Specialist in August 2018.

Jennifer completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology as well as her Master’s degree in Psychological Intervention (Educational Domain) at the University of Luxembourg whilst also studying abroad at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona (USA). She collected first practical experiences in research during her numerous research internships (University of Bonn, Germany; Aalborg University, Denmark; infas – Institute for Applied Social Sciences in Bonn, Germany) as well as student research assistant positions at the University of Luxembourg.

Currently, Jennifer is involved in the project Dynamics of Academic Self-Concept in Everyday Life (DynASCEL; Principal Investigator: Dr. Christoph Niepel) whilst working on her dissertation under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jens Möller (Kiel University). In her dissertation she investigates intraindividual variability in adolescent students’ state academic self-concept.

Projects

  • Dynamics of Academic Self-Concept in Everyday Life (DynASCEL): The DynASCEL project proposes to examine state aspects and dynamics in students’ academic self-concepts and their perceptions of instructional quality on a lesson-to-lesson basis by the use of e-diaries (ambulatory assessment/experience sampling).
