Carole Schmit is an architect and Guest Professor of Architecture at the University of Luxembourg. Having spent more than 10 years studying and working in Belgium, Italy and the Netherlands, she returned to Luxembourg in 2004 to settle her architecture office, called Polaris Architects, which she ran together with her partner François Thiry since 2000 for about 15 years. Since 2007, she was operating as an expert to set the Master in architecture in place at uni.lu, finally becoming guest-professor in 2018. Next to her continuous academic activities, Carole started working 5 years ago for the administration of public works to help developing major projects on behalf of the Ministry of mobility and public works in Luxembourg.
