Nancy Morys is Senior lecturer for language education at the University of Luxembourg since 2010. She graduated in French linguistics and literature at the Freie Universität Berlin and Music at the Universität der Künste Berlin. She worked as a teacher in different primary and secondary schools in Germany, France and Belgium. Before joining the University of Luxembourg, she was scientific collaborator at the Freie Universität Berlin, where she taught in teacher training programs for primary and secondary French language teachers. For her doctoral thesis, Nancy Morys conducted a qualitative study on French comics (bandes dessinées) and their didactical purposes in foreign language classrooms. She is a member of the Research Unit ECCS (Education, Culture, Cognition and Society) and of the Institute for Research on Multilingualism (MLing).
