Elisabeth Scheier joined the Institute for Research on Generations and Family within the research unit INSIDE as a research associate in the project CatMesNEET under the supervision of Assistant Professor Robin Samuel. The research project is directed at policies addressing youth and young adults in a NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training) situation in Luxembourg.
She completed her bachelor`s degree in Sociology as well as Ethnological and African Studies at the Johannes-Gutenberg-University in Mainz and her Master`s degree in Sociology within the track Social Problems and Social Policy at the University of Amsterdam.
After completing her studies, she has worked as a research associate in various research projects on disability, age and participation in Berlin.
Her research interests are, among other fields, disability, age and youth, participation and participatory methods as well as social policies.
