Ramin Forghani is a doctoral researcher at the Institute of Political Science of the University of Luxembourg.  His PhD research models the physical and environmental impact of conflict in the Middle East region. The thesis uses remote sensing and satellite imagery as part of its methodology to create its spatiotemporal model which explains the dynamics of conflict impact in the region. Ramin holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Azad University (Iran), a Master of Arts in Terrorism and Security studies from the University of Salford (United Kingdom), and certifications in Human Rights Law and International Law from City, University of London (United Kingdom). He draws from his diverse background in the course of his doctoral research.
