Josepha Nell joined the Institute for Research on Generations and Family within the research unit INSIDE as a research associate in the project CatMesNEET under the supervision of Assistant Professor Robin Samuel. The research project is directed at policies addressing youth and young adults in a NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training) situation in Luxembourg.

She received her Ph.D. as well as her Master’s degree from the University of Vienna in sociology. The theme of her dissertation is: Social, cultural and migration-related settings, which from the perspective of older migrants living in Vienna are relevant to generate a positive subjective quality of life.

In addition to Josephas scientific research in the fields of youth, migration and demography, she completed a course to be trainer and youth worker. Further, she worked as a market researcher for an international market research company and as research associate in several scientific institutes in Vienna relating to youth, family and migration.

 Among other fields, her research interests are youth, migration, biography and age.
