The University of Luxembourg is pleased to announce the following academic promotions.

Promotions to the rank of full professor:

These appointments are based on the new competitive promotion mechanism introduced by the University law of 2018. Promotions are limited to a maximum of 25% of all new positions created since January 2017. 37 candidates were assessed both on their own merit and relative to other candidates in the pool of applicants, by internal and external committees. Assessment areas include research and scholarship, teaching with a commitment to academic and pedagogical excellence, knowledge and technology transfer, administration and management. 

“I am proud of the high quality of applications received,” states Prof. Stéphane Pallage, rector of the University of Luxembourg. “The individuals promoted demonstrate excellence and a deep commitment across several areas. They are prominent researchers and also exemplary teachers, study directors, leaders, speakers and academic ambassadors. They are inspired and inspiring.”
