Andrey Boystov conducts research on pervasive computing, smart homes, machine learning and data analysis. He received Bs and Ms degrees from Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnical University in 2006 and 2008 respectively. Since then he has been mostly working in the academia. In 2013 he received dual PhD degree from Lulea University of Technology (Sweden) and Monash University (Melbourne, Australia) in the area of pervasive computing systems.  His research is quite applied and mostly focuses on smart home area. After completing PhD studies he worked as a PostDoc researcher in INRIA (Rennes, France, 2013-2014) in the area of situation awareness, plan recognition and activity recognition in a smart home and at Distributed Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of Technical University of Berlin (2014-2016) in the area of smart home architecture and situation awareness in smart homes.
He will work in collaboration with Prof. Yves Le Traon and Dr. François Fouquet on the POST partnership project for the Security Design and Validation Research Group – SERVAL.
