Gianluca Fontanesi received his PhD degree from the University College Dublin (Ireland), in 2021. He has several years of industrial experience as consultant for Nokia and as Software and Radio Integration Engineer with Azcom Technology. His research interests include UAV and satellite communication, focusing on potential applications of machine learning techniques. Gianluca joined the Signal Processing & Satellite Communications research group, SIGCOM, headed by Prof. Symeon Chatzinotas.
