Iván Abellán Álvarez received his Master’s degree from the Edinburgh Napier University (UK), in 2020. He worked in the IT security industry assessing applications security. His research interests are in computer security with focus on cryptography, blockchain and privacy-related methods. Iván joined the Digital Financial Services and Cross-Organizational Digital Transformations research group, FINATRAX, headed by Prof. Gilbert Fridgen and she will be advised by the latter.
Iván is actively involved in the FNR project PABLO, which explores new concepts and applications in distributed ledger technology, and digital identity management for tokenizing artworks and collectibles. The project aims to balance regulatory requirements together with privacy demands.
