Master in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Industry activities
The LCL regularly hosts informal Industry Seminars, Company visits and participates at the Young Logistics and Maritime Professionals (YLMP) Networking events throughout the academic year from September to June.
This is an essential and mandatory part of the Master programme, as it is a prime opportunity for our students to learn from logistics and supply chain experts about their daily challenges, and solutions that have been applied. These insights complement the content taught in the LSCM (Logistics & Supply Chain Management) curriculum. Moreover, it allows students to build their network in Luxembourg, the Greater Region, and beyond, by interacting directly with corporate speakers and other young professionals.
For the speakers, guides and their HR colleagues, the Industry Seminars and Company visits are a great opportunity to present their company to the LSCM students and to enhance their potential talent pool generally – independently of the company’s prevailing recruitment context.

Throughout the academic year, visits to various companies are conducted.

17th March 2022 - Grosbusch |

On 17 March, the Master cohort was warmly welcomed to the headquarters of Grosbusch S.A., Luxembourg's premier fresh produce importer, wholesaler, and distributor in Ellange, by co-CEO Mr. Goy Grosbusch. Together with his sister Lynn, Mr. Grosbusch has built on the successful business founded by his grandfather in 1917 by expanding into the Greater Region, as well as into the branches of @home and @office delivery of fresh fruit and vegetables. Grosbusch has privileged organic produce development, in terms of origin (95% of purchases are directly from farmers) and also environmentally-friendly packaging. The students were treated to a complete tour of logistics operations, including the impressive warehouse where produce is delivered, sorted for quality-control, and packaged for sale to retail and other end-users. |
