What is special about studying in Luxembourg

  • Multilingualism: the "Bachelor of Science in Psychology" is a trilingual degree programme - the teaching languages are German, French and English.
  • Mobility: All students of the "Bachelor of Science in Psychology" spend at least one semester at a foreign university.

During their semester abroad, students get to know a different university culture, a new student environment, a new everyday life, as well as different study contents and perspectives. This not only means great personal enrichment, but it also leads to numerous impulses for the further course of their studies. Learning agreements ensure that the ECTS credits earned at the host university are recognised in the Bachelor of Science in Psychology programme at the University of Luxembourg.

Within the framework of the Erasmus programme, which also includes a scholarship, students can choose between 24 European partner universities. There is also the possibility to apply for a mobility semester worldwide (e.g. in the Global Exchange Programme). Further information on mobility can be found here.

  • Intensive supervision: The study places in the "Bachelor of Science in Psychology" are limited to a maximum of 80 per year group - this guarantees the best possible supervision of the students. The ratio between the number of lecturers and students is about 1 to 3. Especially in the first year of study, teaching is mainly carried out by professors and assistant professors.

"Right up to the defence of my thesis, I received excellent support in my studies of psychology and was encouraged in many matters on a personal level. The lecturers were always open and available for questions and problems; a close contact that cannot be taken for granted."
Thu Ly, Bachelor of Science in Psychology graduate (Quote translated from German)
