A joint Master degree in German language and literature

The Trinational Master is a joint programme of the University of Luxembourg, Saarland University (Germany) and the University of Lorraine in Metz (France).

Why study with us?

The programme focuses on the German language and literature from their beginnings to the present day. Students choose from different courses offered by the three partner universities and immerse themselves into the different academic cultures of the three countries. They acquire intercultural skills, which are highly valued in today’s work environment.

What do we offer our students?

A solid foundation of theoretical and practical knowledge

The programme offers a wide range of courses on the historical, linguistic and socio-cultural aspects of the German language and literature.
An eight-week internship
gives students the opportunity to apply and further develop their skills acquired during their studies.

A flexible programme structure

In addition to the mandatory classes, for which the student group meets regularly, students can choose from a variety of specialisation and optional courses allowing them to shape their studies according to their interests and their future career path.

An international diploma

Depending on the number of credits acquired at each of the 3 partner universities, students
obtain a tri-national, bi-national or national diploma.
