Bachelor en Engineering - Mechanical EngineeringMechanics is a modern applied science whose achievements have a large place in everyday life. Mechanical engineers are generally involved in the construction, development and invention of machines and plants, for example in the automotive industry with its many suppliers, in machine tool construction, in the development of large industrial complexes etc. In the past, the engineer's tools were pencil, paper and drawing board; today the computer has become an indispensable tool, both in construction (CAD) and in production (CAM) or development (CAE).
STRENGTHSThe teaching provided at the University of Luxembourg naturally takes account of this development. In spite of an extremely wide field of activities, we can define some basic subjects that every mechanical engineer should know. It is this basic knowledge that is given to students in this vocational training. Since all the Bachelor in Engineering (BENG) courses are almost identical at the beginning of the course, it is possible to change orientation without great difficulty if this proves necessary for the student.
