The first semester of the degree programme takes place at the University of Luxembourg, the second at the University of Strasbourg and the third at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. During the fourth semester, students participate in an internship in the field of biomedical research either in a science laboratory at a university or with an external partner. It is during this time that students write their Master’s thesis.

You need to acquire 30 ECTS in each partner university and each semester.

• IMBM at U Luxembourg (Semester 1): You need to take modules 1.1 + 1.2. + 1.3. + 1.5 which will give you 30 ECTS.

You need to take and successfully pass a language course (French or German), to be eligible for UFA funding. If you are bilingual in these languages,  you can take a course for another language.
