Presentation

The Master in Molecular and Computational Biomedicine will acquaint you for a career as biomedical researcher (and related positions). It covers key knowledge in biomedicine and state-of-the-art technologies which you will perform experimentally and computationally in many practical teaching units. You will thereby cover the molecular basis of cancer and neurodegenerative diseases among other pathologies and perform large-scale screening experiments by yourself yielding a deep characterization of disease alterations. In the computational labs you will acquire practical skills in bioinformatics, biological data analysis and network approaches to decipher the functional consequences of the observed molecular differences. You will also learn the respective necessary programming languages. This integrated experimental and computational approach forms the backbone of modern biomedical research. And it distinguishes this Master study line from the “International Master in Biomedicine” which is focusing more physiological and pre-clinical subjects.
