Strengths

Didactics and pedagogy tailored to the Luxembourg school system

Didactical courses and activities are provided by didactical experts and, to a large extent, by Luxembourg-based teachers. Pedagogical skills are taught by professionals in the field. Our students also benefit from internships in Luxembourg secondary schools with a total duration of at least 6 weeks. The activities that concern general professional competences are organised by the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE) for all tracks of the Master in Secondary Education.

Development of mathematical thinking

Our students acquire a solid background in mathematics because they can expand on their knowledge and skills acquired in the Bachelor by following courses in common with the Master in Mathematics. They benefit from a large choice of courses and a “didactical component” in some of the them. Our students also benefit from dedicated trainings for the Concours de Recrutement for becoming teacher-fonctionnaire in Luxembourg. The mathematical part of our Master programme also facilitates alternative career options.

Friendly and cooperative atmosphere

The Study Programme Directors cooperate closely with students and their representatives, thus training them in positive communication, inclusiveness, mutual respect, and responsibility.
