The UNESCO Chair in Human Rights participates in the UNITWIN and UNESCO Chairs Programme.

The UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs Programme aims at promoting research, training and programme development in all of UNESCO’s fields of competence by building university networks and encouraging inter-university cooperation through the transfer of knowledge across borders.

The UNESCO Chairs and UNITWIN Networks engage in training, research, information sharing and outreach activities in UNESCO major programmes areas: education, natural sciences, social and human sciences, culture, and communication and information. The UNESCO Chairs act as true partners of UNESCO and participate actively in the design, implementation and evaluation of its program of activities.
