New opening times during summer & library services temporary relocated

With the beginning of the summer break, the following University services have new opening times:

Luxembourg Learning Centre

From 27 July to 21 August, the LLC building will be closed due to maintenance work. During this period, the following LLC services will be available on the 1st floor of the Maison du Savoir:

  • a computer room
  • a photocopying area
  • the daily press
  • individual workspaces (Monday to Friday, 8.00 to 17.00)

The library’s online collections will be accessible remotely via the catalogue www.a-z.lu. The librarians will be on site at the MSA from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 14.00 to 16.00 and available remotely via askalibrarian@uni.lu.

University restaurants

Restaurant service at the University campuses will be limited to take-out lunch bag service during the summer period.

The take-out lunch bag service (“Frupstut”) is available in Restaurant Altius (Kirchberg Campus) and Food House (Belval Campus) only. Information on how to order a lunch bag is available in FAQ about Facilities & Services.

The following restaurants are closed: Brasserie John’s in Kirchberg (until 1 September 2020); Food Zone, Food Café, Food Lab in Belval (until 1 September 2020); and Restaurant Um Weier (until 13 September 2020).

If you bring your own food, please strictly observe the social distancing and health and safety rules applying in the kitchens.

 

SEVE student services

The University’s services to students remain accessible remotely. Students should contact the SEVE preferably via email:

SEVE Housing and Admissions is accessible for in-person meetings by appointment only. For health and safety reasons, access to the waiting area is restricted. Please consult FAQ about Facilities & Services for additional information.

 

Maison des Arts et des Étudiants

As of July, Student Life is back at the Maison des Arts et des Étudiants. From Monday to Friday from 6.00 to 22.00 students are invited to use the space on the first floor for their needs.

Social distancing rules apply and if not possible, masks need to be worn. The maximum capacity allowed is 25 students at once.
