At the start of the new academic year, the Luxembourg Learning Centre (LLC) will extend its opening hours and will also be open on Saturdays.

The LLC, the library of the University of Luxembourg, is an open facility that is accessible free of charge, Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 22.00, as well as on Saturdays from 8.00 to 17.00 (starting 14 September 2019).

A wide range of services

The LLC provides all types of documentation and promotes digital learning, with opportunities for individual and group training. In addition to providing members with access to a collection of nearly one million publications and periodicals, both in paper and digital formats, the LLC offers free of charge services, ranging from standard lending of books and computers, to consultation of magazines and journals, and specialised services, such as documentary research assistance, training and services dedicated to digital- and IT skills development for its members. The LLC also contributes to the dissemination and promotion of the University of Luxembourg’s dissertations and publications. Housed in a splendid building with individual and collaborative workspaces, it offers an inspiring working environment that promotes learning, collaboration and innovation.

Meet the community’s needs

“By extending its opening hours the LLC will be able to better meet the needs of a growing community comprising close to 6,500 students and the entire scientific community of Luxembourg. Our strategy of openness will strengthen the LLC’s ability to fulfil its mission of support for teaching and research, while at the same time being a highly attractive space within an evolving university campus,” states Marie-Pierre Pausch, Director of the Luxembourg Learning Centre.
